Your next role

At NAU Theatre, you’ll gain a strong foundation in stagecraft—on stage and behind the scenes—while immersed in theatrical history, theory, design, technology, and critique.

From your first semester, you’ll gain hands-on experience in productions, learning theatre through practice, with the support of committed faculty and collaborators. You’ll also find a welcoming community where you belong, surrounded by fellow storytellers who share your passion and creativity.

Rooted in a strong liberal arts education, at NAU Theatre you’ll cultivate the integrity, work ethic, and versatility to excel as a well-rounded theatre practitioner. Whether your passion is acting, stage management, design, or theatre studies, you’ll graduate prepared to bring your artistic vision into the world.

Crafting skills that open doors

The skills you build on stage and behind the curtain reach far beyond the theatre itself. As you collaborate, problem-solve, and bring productions to life, you’ll gain confidence, creativity, and adaptability that employers value in many fields.

Building your foundation

With dedicated mentorship and connections that span from local companies, regional and national theatre, and beyond, you’ll graduate prepared to lead, create, and make an impact wherever your path leads.

Take the next step

Outside of the classroom, I gained practical experience by working on productions as both a technician and performer. These real-world applications of my training exposed me to the day-to-day challenges of rehearsal and performance environments.
